Subject: Happy New Year!
Hi, folks. I hope your holidays were as enjoyable as mine were. I regret I have not previously taken the time to let you know of my appreciation for the incredible job done by Chuck to get me into my new house. I have purchased homes before, though never from out of town. Chuck was a tireless advocate, making calls, pulling up listings, keeping in phone contact, being remarkably flexible to accommodate me during my visits into Houma (as well as showing houses during repeat visits with family and friends!), sharing his thoughts when I wanted to pursue various options, and so much more. He was always gracious and concerned for what I wanted. I have purchased homes before, and can truly say that no agent has ever been more concerned with what I wanted. I began my quest by looking for an older, raised house, then later decided to expand my options by looking at more recent homes. Chuck did not miss a beat, flowing smoothly with recommendations that resulted in my finding this house. When Chuck opened the front door to this house, I knew that this was the one! And, was it ever. I made an offer the same day, and soon we had the closing all lined up. Someone had incorrectly listed my home's address in the MLS, and this resulted in a few problems a day or two before closing - the bank wanted to be sure I was buying the right property, all were concerned that the right property had been appraised, inspected, was being insured, etc. Not to be deterred, Chuck worked with the lawyer's office, the bank, the seller, and others to ensure the closing would go through without a hitch. And, it did! On December 9 - one month to the day after I had accepted an offer on my house in Metairie - I closed on my incredible new house here in Houma.
Then, the new rush began: setting up the utilities, moving items from storage (the act of sale on my previous house was just 5 days before the closing on this new house, so I had moved my things into storage), buying new items to complete the house, and so on. With long hours, I was able to entertain more than 40 family members and friends on Christmas Day. Everyone loved the house (how could they not have done so?!). Between Christmas and New Year's, 16 friends and family came over to celebrate the holidays and enjoy the ambience of the new house. This house was made to entertain, and I like doing so - again, a perfect match! I grew up south of here, and my goal in relocating to Houma was to be closer to family. Through Chuck's efforts, my goal was completely realized.
Thank you, Chuck, for helping me find the perfect house. I hope that the two of you call and drop in some time to say hello and see the house post-sale.

Dear Shirin- It´s not very often I get to write a letter like this one but I was so moved by your employee, Pat Motley, that I had to put in words all she had done for me. Not only was Pat friendly, outgoing and extremely helpful, but also she was like a beacon light in total darkness. Not only did she help me buy a house, but she also helped me sell the house I was living in. When I say helped me, I should say she sold the house. Besides the initial leg work, she called different companies getting estimates because the attic had to be insulated to meet requirements. The house also had to be treated for termites. She called and got prices for that also. Needless to say, she saved me from having to take time off from work to do that but she also sat at my old house and waited for the workers to come and do the termite treatment and insulation. More work hours saved thanks to Pat. To put the icing on this particular cake, she set up the closing for the closing of the old house. |
