REALTOR of the Year 2007 Regional Director 2009 Louisiana Regional VP- 2008 Congeniailty Award -2008 My career began in 1973 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, working as a secretary for the Constitutional Convention and continuing on with the Louisiana State Legislature.   In June 1975, South Central Bell  offered me employment. This was the beginning of a lengthy and interesting career, which led me to work assignments in New Orleans and eventually, in 1991, to Houma, Louisiana. Marketing and  Central  Office Operations were two of my favorite areas of work in the corporate world. In 1997, I retired from a 22-year career with Bellsouth to take a few years off to enjoy my family.  In 2003, I decided to pursue a career in real estate. This was something I had always dreamed of doing, and the timing was perfect for me to begin a new career. After receiving my real estate license, I immediately became involved in the business organization on the local (Bayou Board of REALTORS), state (Louisiana REALTORS Association), and national (National Association of REALTORS) levels.  The volunteer activities on the many committees and teams within these organizations have been very rewarding and educating.   The designations I have earned  since 2003 required many hours of study and travel to achieve. My current designations are :                      Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR)                      Seller Representative Specialist    (SRS)                      Graduate REALTOR Institute      (GRI)  In 2005, I was awarded "Rookie of the Year" by the Bayou Board of REALTORS. I was also awarded REALTOR of the Year 2007. Currently, I am the President Elect 2008 of the Bayou Board of REALTORS.   In March of 2007, I joined the professional team of REALTORS at RE/MAX Good Earth Realty, Inc. It is wonderful to be a member of this elite group of REALTORS.  My best friend and husband, Bill, has always been very loving and supportive. He is truly my "rock of Gibraltar" and is very understanding when I have to work long hours away from home. Bill has been employed with a major oil company for many years. My son Jay is also a REALTOR with RE/MAX in Dallas, Texas, where he has become very successful.  Ethics and education have always been my top priorities. I practice the "Golden Rule" daily in my professional and personal life. I find it very rewarding to be able to help people make some of the most important decisions of their lives.
